The National Leading Group Office for the Recognition and Administration of High-Tech Enterprises recently published the second supplementary filing list of high-tech enterprises recognized by Shanghai's certifying bodies in 2025. ASTRACE was confirmed on that list and has now officially been awarded National High-Tech Enterprise status, certificate number GR202531008796.
In China, this designation is jointly reviewed and awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Taxation Administration, and it is widely regarded as one of the most credible honors a Chinese enterprise can hold — often described informally as the "national exam" for technology companies. The review is demanding by design, covering intellectual property, R&D investment, commercialization of research outcomes, and growth potential, which gives the certification real weight in the eyes of partners and customers alike.

Passing this review is not a matter of paperwork. The evaluation is built around several hard thresholds that a company has to clear at the same time, not just one or two in isolation:
Earning the certification is recognition of ASTRACE's technical strength, R&D system, and track record of turning research into commercial results, and it formally places the company among China's national-tier high-tech enterprises.

This result is not a one-off achievement. It reflects 23 years of continuous investment across R&D, product iteration, supply chain development, market expansion, and brand building, all reinforcing each other over time.
On the R&D side, ASTRACE has built a research team led by doctoral experts recruited under China's national high-level talent programs, working on frontier problems in photoelectric materials, nanoscale laser lithography, and smart control algorithms. That team sits inside a fully self-sufficient R&D system spanning the entire production chain, rather than depending on outside labs or licensed technology for core capability.
On intellectual property and production capacity, ASTRACE has built a dense protective layer around its core technology while scaling manufacturing to a level unmatched elsewhere in the category:
| Category | Figure |
| Total high-quality patents | Over 100 |
| Invention patents | 45 |
| Production bases | Two, in Shanghai and Huzhou |
| Total factory floor area | Over 23,000 square meters |
| Annual production capacity | 2.5 million square meters |
That combination of patent depth and production scale is what allows ASTRACE to operate as the only manufacturer globally producing photoelectric smart film at true mass-production volume, rather than in limited or pilot batches.
The company's innovation has also been validated directly by capital markets and by the customers it serves. In 2025, ASTRACE closed two significant funding rounds, backed by Shangqi Capital and Changxing Chuangqiang Capital. On the commercial side, ASTRACE has established deep collaborations with international OEMs including BMW, BMW MINI, BYD, Nissan, SAIC Motor, and AITO.
ASTRACE's innovations have also reached a global audience through top-tier international trade shows such as the Frankfurt Motor Show and SEMA Show, with customers now spanning 75 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan.

For ASTRACE, National High-Tech Enterprise status is an honor. For our partners, it functions as a concrete commitment across three areas of the business relationship:
National High-Tech Enterprise certification confirms 23 years of commitment to innovation and excellence at ASTRACE, and it also marks a starting point rather than an endpoint. Going forward, ASTRACE will continue building on technology as its foundation and innovation as its driving force, working alongside partners around the world to expand what photoelectric smart film can do.
